Sports Day
July 22, 2008
Today my school had its sports day. A few weeks ago when it came to choosing who was doing what event, I volunteered to do the 400 metre race for my form (class). I like running. It wasn’t until the day that I actually realised I was probabally going to loose the race in front of every kid and teacher in Years 7, 8 and 9. Everyone in my form said they didn’t care if I lost, but I was still worried about the other kids in the year.
The time came for my race and me, along with the other seven people in the Year 8 race got ready. I was pretty sure I’d loose, even then. The race began. I ran and ran and ran. I could hear my form cheering me on and the muffled commentary by my deputy head. I kept looking behind, only one kid was behind me- but he was catching up. I sprinted to the finish line and came in seventh- not bad, it’s better than last. I did the 400 metres in 1:32 which is faster than my previous personal best of 1:44, so at least I beat myself by 12 seconds.
When I went back to join my form they were all saying “Well Done!” and all that. I realised then I have actually got a really nice form and form tutor. We all stick togetehr and support each other. Really, now is the best time of my life. I’ve got a great family, great great friends and a brilliant school. So treasure these days. Think about how good your life is.
More Stuff: We had a week of days out last week at school. We went to the South Bank of the Thames in London, where all the street performers make their name. Tyler put his cap, Captain Johnathon III, on the floor and he began to dance. I did this thing where I put my hands under my legs and stand on them. Someone gave us two quid, thinking we were a real street act. We got more money later and ended up £2:60 richer!

Well… I’m a VERY bad sporty… here in Malta football is ruling, so if you’re a football noob many ppl say that you’re a nerd or geek, etc. During breaks, I surf trough the internet at the library. I am proud of my form but these football fans are ruining my life.

I’m sorry to hear that. Just try and forget about them.
